[img_assist|nid=6992|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=100]This week PayPal Canada introduced a new product suite PayPal Website Payments Pro that enables online merchants to offer their customers more choice in how they pay for items. Website Payments Pro package includes three such functional features as Express Checkout, Direct Payment API and Virtual Terminal.

With Express Checkout buyers using PayPal accounts can pay for their items in no time on a merchant's website. The payment is initiated and approved by the customer earlier in the checkout process. Then shipping and billing information is sent immediately from PayPal to the merchant website.

Direct Payment option was intended for those cases when a customer has no PayPal account. With Direct Payment merchants can accept credit card transactions just as they would with traditional Internet merchant accounts. The shoppers simply enter their credit card details directly on the merchant website. Then th epaypal system processes the payment while staying invisible for a customer.

The third option provided with Website Payments Pro suite - Virtual Terminal – supports phone, fax and mail orders. Merchants can manually enter credit card transactions through the PayPal system.
