PayUp Romania PayUp, a Romanian company expert in electronic payment solutions provided the data which show that the electronic bill payment market in Romania brings about €5.8 billion yearly issuing more than 180 million bills.

€6 million are planned to be invested by PayUp by the end of the following year into the project of installing 6,000 devices of electronic bill payment in Romanian stores.

"We want the partner stores to have POS installed for citizens to be able to pay their bills to the utility companies, telephony operators and other service companies. The procedure is simple,” says Luis Janeiro, President of PayUp Group. “The client comes with the bill and our partner will introduce the code for the payment operation in POS and will release a receipt.”

The company signed agreements with the mobile telephony operators Orange and Vodafone and concluded contracts with energy and natural gas distributors effective from September.
