Apple doesn’t want anyone to take present at SuperMeet event but them?

According to the recent report of provideocoalition.com Apple is going to present its latest Final Cut Pro at the tenth annual SuperMeet event at NAB. Citing the unnamed sources the authors say that Apple forced SuperMeet organizers to cancel the presentations of other company to have an exclusive presentation.  Among the cancelled presenters are such companies as AJA, Avid, Canon, BlackMagic, Autodesk and others.

Representatives of Cannon, Autodesk and Avid confirmed the information. “Apple doesn’t want anyone to have stage time but them,” commented Avid.

However, no official statement was made. The official site of SuperMeet still says that the above-listed companies will sponsor the evening and give presentation. Apple is not listed at all.

NAB will take place on April 9 -14, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. SuperMeet will take place on Tuesday, at 7pm, April 12th, at Bally’s Event Center in Las Vegas.

SuperMeet is an annual gathering within NAB (National Association of Broadcasters trade show) held by the Final Cut Pro User Group Network (FCPug), a coalition of digital editing user groups. Companies sponsoring the event usually present their new products and technologies.
