$3.28 billion in B2C: the e-commerce sun rises above Saudi Arabia

A latest report by Arab Advisors Group (Jordan based) told us that in 2007, Saudi Arabia's PC users spent online more than $3.28 billion in B2C e-commerce. "48.36% of internet users in Saudi Arabia reported purchasing products and services online and through their mobile handsets over the past 12 months," the document said. E-commerce users will there be estimated to exceed 3.5 million (14,26% of the whole population). Herewith, according to the survey results, 46.4% of Saudi internet users go online at work, 36.6% - in internet cafes, 34.3% - through WiFi hot spots and about 23.7% - from their homes only.
