Griffin vacates office of Time magazine CEO

According to Bloomberg yesterday CEO and Chairman of Time Inc. Jack Griffin has announced his discharge from office. He took up this position 6 months ago after Ann Moore who worked with the company for 32 years.

According to Jeff Bewkes, CEO of Time Warner Inc., the New York-based parent company, Griffin didn’t fit in with the company.

Being CEO of Time Inc. Griffin created a new position – chief digital officer to develop a center for digital innovation within the company. He also formed a separate news division and put Fortune, Money and Time magazines under a different management staff, says Bloomberg.

As of today there is no permanent successor identified. The responsibilities of CEO will be held by interim management committee.
