Digital security provider Gemalto has entered into a definitive agreement with MasterCard to serve as its preferred emergency card replacement vendor worldwide. Under the agreement Gemalto will allow premium MasterCard cardholders to receive their new card in 24 hours or less, even when on the move, anywhere in the world.
As a customer loses their card MasterCard taps into Gemalto’s global network of certified banking service centers and provides the cardholder’s confidential information through a secured communication infrastructure. From the moment the order is received, Gemalto will take all necessary steps to supply a replacement card, even hand delivering in some cases.
