2011 will be a great year for Google Android operating system

According to the latest stats from Millennial Media, 2011 will be a significant year for Android operating system as developers are gearing up to focus on it. The statistics diagrams included in the State of the Apps Industry 2010 Report show that 600 professionals stated that their top priority will be Android platform, a good news for Google, while Palm is the last of the OSs that interests developers.

Microsoft and Apple are in the middle of both ends as developers seem to be rather impressed by the Windows Phone 7 OS and, of course, iPad remains the hit, while iPhone gets less popular.

In the end Millennial Blog stated, "Publishers anticipate significant growth in their applications revenue in 2011. A full 31% of those surveyed expect their applications to increase 100% or more in 2011, with another 17% expecting an increase of 50% or more."
