Apple releases Gold Master version of iOS 4.2 for developers

This week Apple at last unveiled a final release candidate of iOS 4.2 to developers asking the app built for the platform, which prompted that the company is close to the promised mark of releasing the update in November.

Apple posted a message on the developers portal where they were asked to prepare their app for iOS 4.2. Until recently developers could only submit app updates designed for the currently shipping versions of iOS--4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch, 3.2 for iPad.

Besides, Apple also released a Gold Master version of iOS 4.2 for developers which is the end version of the operating system that will ship to users.

When released it will be the first time Apple unite all three mobile devices under the same version of the iOS.
