First Data enables PayPal acceptance within core credit and debit systems

CardinalCommerce has partnered with First Data Corporation for a new payment system dedicated for merchants who want to use their credit and debit environments with the seamless acceptance and processing of such alternative payments transactions through services like PayPal Express Checkout.

Previously merchants had to establish online payment systems outside their main credit and debit systems. But with the integration with First Data’s Compass solution and CardinalCommerce merchants will be able to accept PayPal payments through their core infrastructure.

The official statement says: “First Data’s Compass payment solution provides card-not-present merchants with a comprehensive suite of payment methods to accommodate the diverse needs of eCommerce merchants and their customers. The Compass solution delivers advanced capabilities designed to expand business globally, protect against fraud, lower cost, and simplify management and reporting.”
