Sunday PlayStation3 gamers suffered connection problems

Sunday, PlayStation Network has suffered connection problems for many PlayStation 3 models over the day that affected PS3 gamers badly.

At about 4 pm EST yesterday, PlayStation Network players on Twitter started reporting that they failed connecting to the online gaming service. Later the same day, Sony has begun to acknowledge the issue regarding to the problem on its official PlayStation Blog.

The connection problem only affects pre-Slim PlayStation 3 models, as PlayStation social media manager Jeff Rubenstein claimed they "have narrowed down the issue and have engineers working to restore service."

Despite the fact the game doesn't have any online gameplay, many owners have reported that PlayStation Network issues have kept players from enjoying Sony's most recent release, Heavy Rain.
