Xoom implements new money transfer service to South Korea

Xoom Corporation, the fastest growing internet-based global money transfer company, announced Thursday the launch of their new service to South Korea.

The service to South Korea allows customers to send money online directly to any bank account in South Korea.

This launch supports Xoom.com's comprehensive corporate initiative to provide immigrant communities an alternative money transfer option that is fast, easy, convenient and low in price. Customers send money by visiting Xoom.com's website, xoom.com.

Xoom.com's money transfer service, created in 2001, allows customers to send money to 41 countries around the world, including South Korea, from any internet-enabled computer using a credit card or checking account to fund the transaction. When paying with a checking account, the cost to send any amount to South Korea is $4.99, up to $2,999.

This new service to South Korea augments Xoom.com's existing global presence worldwide, including China, India, Philippines, United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil and many other countries.

"Xoom.com offers Korean immigrants a convenient option for wiring money online. They can send money from their home computer directly to any bank account in South Korea," said Iain Allison, vice president of Asian business development for Xoom.com. "With Xoom.com, customers pay just $4.99 to send any amount and the funds reach the Korean bank in less than one business day."

Xoom allows customers to navigate the Xoom website and to send money in Korean-language.
