Twitter eliminates suggested user list after all?

As it was earlier reported in September Twitter has plans to discard its service that helps the members to find who to follow on the website. The company said that time it was testing a new feature that enables Twitter users to create their own lists that offers people who to follow.

Evan Williams, the CEO and co-founder of the short-messaging site, stated that he had a desperate desire to alter the company's "suggested user" list. The list includes people and companies ranging from the actress Kirstie Alley to musician John Mayer to Southwest Airlines. Anyone who logs into Twitter can access the list. If your name is in the list it stimulates more people to join you on the project.

Williams stated that the feature was initially launched as a means to help newcomers to find people to connect with and now it is getting controversial. He expressed his hope that the feature will be eliminated when Twitter introduces the new option to allow the members to create their own suggested users lists.

Jason Calacanis, who runs search engine Mahalo.com, noted that in case Twitter removes suggested user list that could result in potential revenue loses. Earlier in March he reported that he offered Twitter $250,000 to add him to the roster.
