Facebook creates Latin interface making dead language live online

Facebook has introduced Latin interface of its website making thus the total number of available languages to exceed 17 mark.

It is getting like a peculiar strategy of the social networking site to make translations of its website interface to currently unused languages. Thus, for instance there is an option of pirate language for those who would rather “recruit mateys” than add friends.

A Facebook blog explained: “To students of Latin, the availability of the language on Facebook may be just what’s needed to narrow the distance between themselves and the venerable language. After all, the experience of studying Latin can frequently seem somewhat far and away.”

As it was noted by some observers for the usual users of the social network such extravagances of Facebook are just another food for astonishment and bewilderment.
