US companies plan to recruit more workers and increase salaries

According to a new study, employees recruitment will be a top priority for many US companies after the economy returns to normal state. Over 30% of senior executives representing largest American companies say that staff enlargement will be first in the list of their tasks, reports the survey.

Meantime, 21% say they will increase salaries to their existing workers and 15% say they will increase or reinstitute bonuses.

"Improving business conditions will result in demand for skilled professionals to assist with initiatives that were placed on hold during the recession," said Max Messmer, chairman and CEO of the financial recruitment service Robert Half International.

"Companies that made deep personnel cuts will need to rebuild their teams to capitalize on future opportunities," he added in a statement.

9% of the 150 respondents polled through the telephone admitted they plan to spend more on their employee training and 5% said they will increase benefits. On the other hand 16% said that despite any improvement in the economy they have no plans to increase spending.
