Bank of China advisor forecasts 8% growth of national economy in 2010

Speaking at a conference, the People's Bank of China's top advisor Fan Gang made the forecast that China's economy will grow about 8% in 2010, buoyed by rising real estate, corporate investment and export growth.

According to the comments carried by the Shanghai Securities News, top central bank advisor Gang added that growing investment from the private sector would offset falling government investment.

Besides, he said that the Chinese economy had stabilized and that a recovery trend was underway, although he added further bouts of weakness were to be expected.
