Police asked to prosecute hackers who stole Lewis and Timberlake track

Record brand label SyCo and music vendor IFPI apply to the police asking to help them nick computer hackers who leaked a song "Don't Let Me Down” by Leona Lewis and Justin Timberlake on the Web,

The track is considered to become the first single release from Lewis’, X Factor 2006 winner, next album. Her debut album "Spirit" topped charts around the world; and her second album is expected to be released in November.

As head of IFPI's Internet Anti-Piracy Unit reported, the company is working with SyCo and law enforcement agencies in the US and Europe to prosecute the individuals who stole the Leona Lewis/Justin Timberlake track.

As he considers, such pre-release leaks are highly damaging to the members, investing huge amounts in marketing and promoting music ahead of release.
