nFinanSe launching Visa branded prepaid cards this fall

nFinanSe Inc. announced its plans to start offering Visa branded general purpose reloadable prepaid cards this autumn. According to the company’s official statement the Visa cards will be distributed to retail chains through its distributor relationships and through its direct relationships with retailers.

nFinanSe says that the cards will be issued by Palm Desert National Bank, which also issues Discover branded cards for nFinanSe. Meantime, a spokeswoman for the company noted that nFinanSe will continue to issue the Discover cards along with the Visa cards.

The Visa prepaid reloadable cards will cost $3 to purchase and carry a $2.95 monthly fee and a $2.95 reloadable fee, the statement said.
