Latvian Real Host was depeered for feeding Zeus botnet

As it became known Wednesday, Latvian ISP Real Host, was disconnected by its upstream provider, Junik, on Monday, after TeliaSonera told Junik to either reduice the juice or face sanctions itself.

Real Host was connected too an unsavory list of botnet-related cybercrime activities, like the other previously disconnected hosting companies, McColo and Atrivo.

Real Host was described by the security researchers as a cybercrime and bullet proof hosting hub, acting as command and control nodes systems for the Zeus botnet and a locus for exploits based on a recently patched Adobe Flash exploit, among other crimes.

The measures taken against Real Host appeared to be the first time in Eastern Europe, when internet community enforces upstream ISPs to take action on an supposedly cheating ISP.
