Scareware package counterfeits Windows Blue Screen of Death

According to the Register, criminals have developed a scareware package that counterfeits Windows Blue Screen of Death.

As usual, users install the bogus code (actually a Trojan horse malware) after following links in spam emails ostensibly inviting them to view video clips. 

SystemSecurity usually installs itself onto compromised Windows PCs trough bogus video codec installations. SystemSecurity bogus package has no utility other than scamming people out of their money. 

So, the need to buy "security software" to clean up the systems arose, along with prospective marks presented with a seemingly crashed system.
