FNBO Direct advises US customers on how more efficiently save money
FNBO Direct, First National Bank of Omaha`s Internet banking division, has introduced a new nationwide challenge to encourage all Americans to dedicate themselves to saving money. The revamped web site offers tools and resources, such as the Savings Finder calculator, which helps record and evaluate expenses and savings to develop a plan to reach goals.

The previous Challenge followed five everyday people in their quest for savings greatness by using the “Pay Yourself First” method. FNBO Direct matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum of $5,000, the amount each of the five finalists saved by the end of the Challenge. Thus, during the Challenge the finalists saved more than $63,000.

In addition, the site features savings tips from all five contestants in the original PYF Challenge, plus articles, podcasts and more – all offering useful savings advice.

Furthermore, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance1 named FNBO Direct the “best online savings account” for 2008. Money2 magazine, in its May issue, named FNBO Direct the “Best Place to Park Your Emergency Cash” among its list of the “Money 100.”
