Citi introduces commercial cards products for expense management
International financial conglomerate Citi plans to bring into the Philippines its commercial cards program that give corporate clients a competitive edge in the market through efficient expense management solutions. Citi Philippines stated that it would make available in the local market a corporate card for corporate business travel and entertainment expenses, and a purchasing card for companies’ purchasing and payment needs.

Citi’s commercial cards are currently available in 40 countries and are accepted at more than 24 million merchants worldwide and powered by MasterCard and Visa.

In addition, corporate clients can apply for as many cards as they want and issue them to their employees, but expenses can still be controlled. The main representative of the client company will set the credit limit, which can be increased or reduced temporarily upon his request and approval.

J. Antonio Itchon, managing director and country head for Citi’s business unit Global Transaction Services, said: “Our commercial cards program has the power to meet the broadest range of specific corporate needs and implement solutions across multiple countries and regions in a consistent and seamless coverage. This unique advantage is key for businesses that have growing regional and global coverage.”
