Gmail launches new fearure to protect eBay and PayPal users from scam
In view of the growing number of online scam related to eBay online auction and its subsidiary online payment system PayPal Google has decided to put an end to this phishing e-mails. So, according to the company they have developed a special feature that will allow Gmail, a mailing service of Google to identify bogus messages sent by the fraudsters.

"Authentication icon for verified senders" developed by Gmail Labs identifies the domains the messages come from. In case if they differ from the original ones the service rejects those messages. In other words if email addresses don't end in "@ebay.com" or "@paypal.com" Gmail do not accept that letters.

In case if the letter is authentic Gmail is to display a little plain yellow/gold key icon next to certain senders' names which means that the email is "super-trustworthy."

According to Brad Taylor, Gmail Spam Czar the term "Super-trustworthy" is a technical term invented by their Lab that means:
(1) the sender, usually a financial institution, is a target of phishers,
(2) all of the sender's email is authenticated with DKIM,
(3) Gmail rejects any fake messages that claim to come from this sender, but actually don't.

Also he added that it is it's a bit of work for senders to make their email super-trustworthy, which is why this feature is limited to just eBay and PayPal right now. However they plan to add more such senders to their service.
