PayPal confirmed the rumors about the launch of a new platform
A known online payment system PayPal has answered the article published in TechChurch regarding the coming launch of PayPal Platform. Osama Bedier, VP of platform and emerging technology in PayPal has confirmed the information about this event. “PayPal will be the first and only global payments platform open to third-party developers allowing them to easily monetize their ideas,” he said.

PayPal will be hosting a limited-seating event on July 23rd where they will reveal more details as well as a larger conference in November specific to this platform. It was also added that “this is not an effort to “crush Amazon’s fledgling payment service” but to unleash developer innovation which we believe has been stifled because it’s so hard to make money with what’s currently available to developers today.”

During the event mentioned above they plan to preview the PayPal’s new suites of services with deeper access to PayPal’s core functionality and to look at new demos and the opportunity to learn how to a business. The event will be followed by a networking lunch and time to socialize with other event participants and the Platform team. Also the organizers announced the optional Code & Build lab where one can participate to work directly with PayPal’s next generation APIs, and to ask questions of the technical support staff. The only request was to bring the laptops to participate in the Code & Build.
