Dell may face a $758,000 fine for violating the Fair Trade Law
One of the leading US computer makers Dell seems to be fined soon for breaching the Fair Trade Law. According to the reports the company has failed to deliver the orders as advertised on their site. The fine can be up $758,000.

The thing is that on June 25 the Taiwanese branch of Dell has advertised its 19-inch LCD monitors at $15.16 and 20-inch LCD monitors at $30.29 that are much lower that a real retail price. The same “mistake” repeated later when on July 5 Dell announced its Latitude E4300 notebook at just $562 however the real price was $1,850.

Immediately after placing the ads on their site hundreds of customers ordered the offered products but the company refused to deliver those products at the prices announced on the site which were corrected later. The only compensation offered by the company was a $30.29 discount for LCD monitors and a $600 discount for laptops.
