According to a recent Western Union research, around 25% of American consumers responded they are using cash more often than they have in the past; 88% said an important reason they use cash is to avoid high interest rates and fees charged by credit card companies; and 91% say it is important for them to use cash more often as it help them to avoid building credit card debt.
Previously Western Union implemented an innovative Overnight Home Delivery service4 pilot featuring the new Western Union MoneyWise™ Visa prepaid debit card designed to better meet the needs of money-transfer receive consumers.
There are better travel money products out there
I think there are better travel money products out there in the market like the Caxton FX product (see the review - http://www.prepaid365.com/caxtonfx-prepaid-card.html) and the fair fx prepaid card. Caxton FX works better for me but the best bit about the fair fx card is that it does not charge a cross border fee.
What that means is that if you have a Fair FX USD card and use it where only Euro's are accepted, it would not charge you any additional fee over the existing interchange rate unlike other travel cards which do.
Cheers
