Cyber security risk is growing, Britain's afraid
As Britain warned, military and business secrets are under growing security risk coming from computer spies. Cyber security is promised to be toughed in order to protect billions of pounds spent online in a year in Britain’s economy.

According to security minister Alan West hostile states and criminals were increasingly attacking British interests online. "We know that various state actors are very interested in cyber warfare. The terrorist aspect of this is the least (concern), but it is developing," said West.

Several countries, US including, pointed to Russia’s and China’s abilities to spy electronically and disrupt computer networks. Jonathan Evans, the head of the Britain MIS security service in his 2007 speech named several countries, including Russia and China, which made "unreconstructed attempts" to spy on Britain.

According to West in September 2009 two new bodies - Office of Cyber Security and Cyber Security Operations Center - would start work to reinforce protection of the electronic transactions. West stated about its confidence that the new measures would help to prevent such breaches as identity theft and fraud in future.
