Digital River, Inc., a leading provider of global e-commerce solutions, announced that it signed a new e-commerce agreement with Tripwire, Inc., a leader in data center compliance and infrastructure management software. Tripwire is working with Digital River to expand its business-to-business (B2B) online sales and e-marketing programs on a global basis. Recently, Digital River launched an online store which supports downloads of software trials and purchases of host licenses using the US dollar, euro, Australian Dollar and Great Britain Pound. Using a Digital River® e-commerce solution, Tripwire can easily offer business buyers a direct purchasing path and online promotions to software trials and host licenses of vWire™, a virtual infrastructure management solution. vWire is compatible with the VMware platform, offers a single interface for virtualization management, and gives visibility and control to virtualization engineers to decrease complexity, downtime and operational costs in virtual environments. Joel Ronning, Digital River’s CEO, said: “The online market continues to be a growth channel for global B2B software providers. By tailoring our e-commerce solution to meet the global online buying requirements of businesses, we can help software publishers extend the reach of their multi-channel e-commerce operations, expand their sales on a global basis and provide an efficient purchasing means for their key business consumers.” Matt Hixson, director, vWire Business Unit for Tripwire, said: “One of the greatest advantages of working with Digital River is that we get all of the benefits of a fully hosted, global e-commerce solution, while still maintaining control over managing the day-to-day content and merchandising of our online store. Partnering with Digital River lets us reach more customers and streamlines the sales process for vWire.”
