PayPal announces new DoStuffForMoney campaign
An online payment system PayPal announced the introduction of its new campaign titled DoStuffForMoney which, as director of product marketing Heinz Waelchli says, allows people to do stuff for money.

On the company blog Waelchli explains: “It’s a fun way to ask for a favor, motivate people to do the jobs you don’t want to do, or request money for almost anything. Need your roommate Susie to handle your laundry this week? Sweeten the deal by offering $20 to make sure she does it right. Want your boyfriend to give you a foot massage after a long day at work? He may hate your feet, but it might be worth the extra $40.”

It works this way. A user goes to www.paypal.com/DoStuffForMoney where he/she can send a personalized offer of a certain amount for a weekend of dog sitting, for instance. Then the user chooses to send this offer to the addressee via Facebook or email. If a sender uses Facebook the offer appears on the recipient’s Wall. If a user chooses email it goes right to the recipient’s inbox. Then a recipient gets an offer and decides to accept or decline it. In case the recipient decides to agree a sender can make an instant payment via PayPal.

Waelchli adds: “And for those that just want to have a little fun with friends, you can also send “prank” offers that will post on Facebook. What’s the most outrageous thing you can get people to do? Challenge your friend Phil to grow a month-long mustache or convince your colleague Cindy to profess her undying love to the boss. The possibilities are endless.”
