Western Union appoints John Brennan to be a VP, business development, Americas

The Western Union Company, a world leader in global money transfer services, today announced it has named John T. Brennan vice president business development, The Americas, focusing on the U.S. banking channel. Stewart A. Stockdale, executive vice president and president, The Americas, Western Union commented the appointment: "We are delighted to have John join Western Union, he comes with a solid 25 year track record in developing banking products and services in support of companies such as Dun & Bradstreet, First Data, Visa USA and Barclays Bank, while building strong relationships with top-tier banks, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, among others.” As Western Union expands its service offerings, in an effort to strongly position money transfers to consumers, it looks to tap into consumer banking channels including: Cash-to-Cash, Account-to-Cash, and Account-to-Account. Brennan joins Western Union from Dun & Bradstreet, where he served as global solutions leader, managing marketing, risk and supply management solutions in support of Citigroup NA, Merrill Lynch and Prudential. Prior to that, he was senior vice president for First Data's Debit Services, Enterprise Client Relations unit managing relationships with Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Washington Mutual, Key Bank, PNC, Citizens Bank, and SunTrust.
