French court rejected Nicolas Sarkozy’s bill on Internet piracy
According to the recent reports of Reuters the top constitutional court of France has reject the law offered by President Nicolas Sarkozy on Internet piracy.

The legislation aimed at stopping the illegal Internet downloading and restricting of the access for repeat offenders was found unconstitutional by the court. According to the court the punishment offered by Nicolas Sarkozy was too severe and it was ruled out that such punishment as the Internet access restriction can be introduced only a judge, other agencies are allowed only to issue warnings

The law was met enthusiastically by music industry representatives who suffer from regular copyright breaches however consumer groups are afraid that the innocent people may fall victims to this law if the hackers breach their accounts to download the files.
