Heartland enables four major card acceptance
Heartland Payment Systems, a provider of credit/debit/prepaid card processing, payroll, check management and payments solutions, announced that it will make it easier for merchants to accept cards by authorizing and settling transactions for all four major card brands. While previously Heartland was mostly working with Visa® and MasterCard® recently it enhanced its partnerships with Discover® and American Express®.

Now merchants will be able to receive funding, statements and customer service for the four major card brands directly from Heartland. This will provide them with such benefits as one statement summarizing details for card transactions from the four brands as well as Heartland’s Online Merchant Center where merchants can view transactions and account information in real time.

“Heartland is proud to be at the forefront of the card processing industry and provide our merchants with this streamlined service,” said Sanford Brown, chief sales officer at Heartland. “In this tough economy, merchants should not be hindered by the number or type of payments cards they accept. Now without hesitation, they can accept any major card a customer presents — increasing their bottom line without having to manage multiple relationships with various card brands and processors.”
