CEOs in America cannot stop using corporate jets even if it angers others
Many US corporate CEOs are still enjoying the privilege of personal use of company plains even despite the current condition of economy.

In many companies throughout the USA chiefs are required to use corporate plains in all cases as well as personal flights for reasons of safety of their leaders. Moreover, using company’s plain chiefs needn’t to waste their time in airports.

According to a study released on Tuesday by executive pay consultant Equilar, some companies put an end to these privileges of personal flights, but most of them continue this practice and there is no any signal of such perks fading. As report showed the value of CEO airplane perks in 2008 increased by 29% from $109,743 a year earlier to $141,477 reaching the highest level in the last five years.

One of the reasons of increase in the cost of these perks last year according to Equilar is rising of fuel costs in early 2008 may. But the pay consultant said its research "suggests reluctance on the part of companies to eliminate or reduce aircraft perks."

The corporate aircraft has long been a subject of fury, especially with the economy in turmoil. Many lawmakers and average Americans also are expressing their anger.
