PayPal extends its Buyer Protection at Marktplaats.nl to over 900 categories
On the official blog of the company Robbert de Haan, Marketing Director of PayPal Benelux, announced that PayPal has expanses its buyer protection to over 900 categories on Marktplaats.nl, a popular classified site in the Netherlands and an eBay Inc company.

As it was reported earlier on May 12th, PayPal was integrated in the books, CD/ DVD and telecommunications groups on Marktplaats.nl. Thus, as Haan says the success of PayPal in these three groups has resulted in the rapid expansion of the program. And now buyers shippable goods groups, like clothing and bags, can pay with PayPal direct from Marktplaats.nl and their purchases will be protected up to EUR 200 in the unlikely event that the shipped item doesn’t arrive.

Haan concludes: “Almost all Marktplaats.nl users now have the option to benefit from PayPal’s protection and enjoy safer and easier trading. We’re excited to see PayPal consumer protection work on one of the most popular classified sites (and one of the most visited sites) in the Netherlands and we’re thrilled to expand this protection so quickly. It’s very encouraging news for the evolution of this program to similar sites around the world.”
