Sony will produce 43% smaller and lighter PSP
According to video games websites, Japan's Sony Corp is planning to put on sale a smaller and lighter PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld game machine later 2009.

The video clip has been published on YouTube. According to game websites including IGN, that video was first distributed through Sony's online game information distribution service.

According to that video clip, a new model, named as PSP Go, is lighter that the current model by 43% with the 3.8-inch display. It will be available on the market this autumn, as it was declared in the video clip. The current model PSP 3000 will be also available in the market.

A spokesman for Sony's game unit, Sony Computer Entertainment refused to comment saying that all announcements will be made at the E3 video game trade show on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Sony is planning to sell 15 million units of the PSP in the financial year to March. The PSP competes with Nintendo Co Ltd's DS.
