sQuid smart card technology adopted by a franchise of Domino’s Pizza
Domino’s Bolton franchise announced plans to launch its own branded smart card payment system using London-based sQuidcard’s tap-and-go eMoney technology. The Bolton franchise of listed company Domino’s Pizza is the first in the chain to adopt the sQuid technology.

Domino’s customers are able to register their cards on the internet and then view their transactions, top-up their card and receive special deals by email. They can also top-up their card in-store and at the other numerous locations using sQuid.

“We have always kept a very close eye on our market, looking at sustainable ways to improve our service offering,” says Paul Samson, the franchisee of Domino’s Pizza Restaurant. “When the Bolton Council adopted the sQuid eMoney service as part of its Bolton Smart card, I saw that this was a very obvious solution for us. It not only reduces our costs of handling cash, the sQuidcard speeds up the purchase transaction time and also enables us to reward our customers with bespoke offers.”

Adam Smith, Managing Director of sQuidcard said that he is certain others in the franchise organisation will follow suit. “sQuid is particularly suited for the thousands of businesses providing low-value cash items,” he said. “We have completed our trials with Paul Samson’s franchise and everything is working perfectly. Domino’s is an excellent brand, enabling us to extend the use of sQuid across the wider Bolton community.”
