Sharp presented its waterproof mobile phone

Japanese operator au KDDI has presented a new mobile phone produced by Sharp. The main feature of this new product is its waterproof shell that gave a name to the mobile device Sportio water beat.

According to Japanese WirelessWatch.com the phone is not flooded even if the main body of the telephone is quietly sunk in the water tank of tap water and the still water of 1m in depth at the normal temperature, and it leaves it in the bottom of the water for about 30 minutes, and in the main body keeps the performance as the telephone.

Sportio water beat is completely sport-oriented with dimensions 51mm×98mm×14.8mm and weighs 108 grams. The phone has 3-inch display with 480x854 resolution with is VGA liquid crystal for the full touch style. A 3.2 Mp camera provides excellent photos which can be stored in 900 MB phone memory and transferred via Bluetooth or an infrared port. Sportio comes with 2 GB microSD.
