nFinanSe partners with RocketBux to offer its cardholders mobile coupons

RocketBux entered into an agreement with nFinanSe to provide coupons and offers to nFinanSe cardholders’ mobile phones. As the two companies state "the partnership will leverage RocketBux’ patent-pending technology to deliver scannable bar code coupons to “opted-in” nFinanSe cardholders who simply swipe their card at a retailer’s POS."

Merchants can select to send targeted coupons directly to the phones of customers that carry the nFinanSe card. Via these “card-triggered” offers, nFinanSe will be able to deliver unique value to its cardholders."

When a cardholder decides to receive coupons and indicates offer preferences he/she will receive a text message with a link to a branded, barcode coupon. To redeem the offer, the cardholder would visit the location and at checkout, simply open the link and present his cell phone to have the barcode scanned. RocketBux technology delivers a 1D barcode that is scannable using industry standard, retail barcode scanners.
