Reliance Money introduces a travel card with Citibank
Jhuma Guha, CEO of OTC Business, Reliance Money in Mumbai today announced the launch of “Reliance Money Travel Currency Card” jointly with Citibank. This card is a multi-use, prepaid card, which can be load in US Dollars, Euros and British Pounds. Also this card is point-of-sale-enabled with ATM access. 

The Reliance Money Travel Currency Card is issued by Citibank. The card allows purchasing goods and services through 13.5 million Visa-enabled point-of-sale terminals and 900,000 Visa ATMs across the world. The card is protected by PIN code to prevent illegal exploitation in the case of stealing or loss of the card. In spite of card is denominated in USD, Euros and British Pounds it can be used in the local currency of any country of visit. So, The Reliance Money Travel Currency Card can be called multi currency card. It is very convenient to use it while traveling to more than one country on the same trip. 

“The Reliance Money Travel Currency Card represents a fundamentally new way to carry foreign exchange when travelling. We plan to use our wide distribution network of over 10,000-plus outlets across 5,000-plus cities and towns in India to reach out to both retail and corporate clients,” said Guha.

According to Sandeep Bhalla, Business Manager-Cards, Citibank India, Citibank, the pioneer in the International prepaid card segment with its focus more on corporate client, hopes to capture also the leisure and personal travel customer segment thanks to partnership with Reliance Money. “With Citi's product innovation and Reliance's customer reach this is an ideal relationship to provide convenience and service to the International traveler,” added he further. Also he mentioned such advantages of this form of payment method as ease of use, absence of hassles of cashing traveler cheques, access to funds anywhere and anytime.

Bhalla further said: We are very happy to partner with Reliance Money and look forward to more such partnerships."
