China also suffers large scale DDoS attacks?
It was announced that an attack on a domain registrar in China caused access problems for millions of internet users earlier this week.

As a chain reaction touched off by a distributed denial-of-service attack on the domain name of system servers of DNSPod, Internet service in at least five provinces including Shanxi, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hebei was negatively affected.

One of the troubled sites was Baofeng.com, a popular provider on streaming video. Users trying to visit the site were “accompanied” by the massive number of unanswered DNS queries. The demand for Baofeng.com affected on amplifying the DDoS attack on the registrar's DNS servers.

Net access was normalized only several hours after the attacks began.
