Vista Service Pack 2, last version of the infamous OS coming soon
As Microsoft said the launch of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 to the public will take place "in the coming weeks”.

According to the statement of Microsoft's Update Product Team in a Wednesday blog post Vista and Server 2008 SP2 will be available through the Download Center and through Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

Microsoft recently said about an uncertainty whether PC makers will be able to sell machines with Vista after Windows 7 possibly appearance in August. Also it is known that support for business versions of Vista will be offered by Microsoft until 2012. But taking into account that market has an aversion for all things related to Vista, SP2 is likely to be the final service pack for this OS.

Vista SP2 in addition to features of Vista SP1 that fixed performance- and device-driver compatibility issues faced by users also fine-tunes performance and adds support for new types of hardware and emerging standards. It includes Windows Search 4.0 for speeding indexing and query response times, the Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack and Windows Connect Now to make easier set up of Wi-Fi connections.
