Online shoppers at Dutch Marktplaats now protected by PayPal
On the official blog of the company Robbert De haan, Marketing Director of PayPal Benelux, announced that starting May 12th, PayPal has been integrated into Marktplaats.nl - the most popular classified site in the Netherlands and an eBay Inc company.

Now customers purchasing in the book, CD/ DVD and telecommunications categories can pay with PayPal direct from Marktplaats and their purchases will be protected up to EUR 200 in the unlikely event that the shipped item doesn’t arrive, says Robbert.

He concludes: “Extending PayPal’s protection to consumer-to-consumer Marktplaats transactions is yet another example of how we’re making it safer and easier for buyers and sellers around the world to connect. We pioneered PayPal buyer protection on eBay and it’s great to see that consumer protection extending to the most popular classified site (and one of the most visited sites) in the Netherlands.”
