B2B companies still increase their spending

Research conducted by Outsell, showed that 13% of companies operating in business-to-business market with over 1,000 employees are increasing spending. This rate for small companies (with less than 100 workers) equals to 26%. 

 

Moreover, it was discovered that larger companies plan to cut overall marketing spending by 9.7%, while smaller ones are cutting only by 0.4%.  

 

Despite the economic downturn, both types of the companies plan to increase online spending, with the small B2B companies aiming for an increase of 8.2% on average, and the larger ones by only 0.4%. 

 

Another research, conducted by Borrell Associates study showed that small-business owners consider certain online marketing tactics to be effective. E-mail became the most effective with 80.4% claiming so. Search and display advertising followed it with 56.8% and 42.1% accordingly.
