U.S. needs hacker schools and camps?
Ed Skoudis, founder and senior security consultant for InGuardians, has stated during a panel on Thursday at the RSA security conference that the US government has to train the youth in offensive and defensive cyber technologies.

Skoudis suggests these measures are necessary so that the country is less vulnerable to attacks on its critical infrastructure. "Set summer camps to learn more about offensive and defensive technologies and have mentor-ship and sponsorship," he said and brought examples of some countries like China and South Korea, which are already sponsoring hacking challenges designed to identify kids with computer skills.

It should also be reminded that last year, the CIO for the Department of Defense reported that an attack to the agency's computers resulted in the theft of an "amazing amount of data." Moreover, there were other breaches involved with the US power grid, and Pentagon’s plans for one of its top fighter jets.

It is expected that the Obama administration will announce a comprehensive plan for responding to the threat during the next week.
