Deutsche Card Services was recently awarded the PCI Security Certificate for the fifth time in a row. The Certificate confirms that the clients of the Deutsche Bank subsidiary and their customers enjoy the best possible protection against any misuse of sensitive data owing to the conformity with the security standards developed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The standard is regularly updated and is the benchmark for all organizations that process, store or transmit card information. Being one of the founders of the PCI Security Standards Council, the credit card organization Visa is one of the leaders in the area of protection of sensitive credit card and transaction data. Certifying their security systems, the merchants take precautions against organized crime. Deutsche Card Services, as a provider of international full-service solutions for non-cash and card-based payments, implemented the high security standards right from the beginning. Moreover, the procedures in all security relevant areas are regularly improved. The Smart Pay GUI interface, the most recent development of Deutsche Card Service, offers even more advantages to merchants, for example a virtual terminal for mail-order business via the phone or the possibility to adapt it to the design of the merchant’s homepage. The certification examination takes place every year. It covers the procedures, access and protocol systems, communication and data infrastructure and the development and security management of the organization. A merchant’s cooperation with a PCI certified partner will increase consumer trust.
