MoneyGram expanded its coverage through African countries

MoneyGram International, a leading global payment services company, has announced about extension of its money transfers in Morocco. In addition, it introduced cash-to-card program which quickly gaining popularity with people who prefer e-wallet transactions. Moreover, MoneyGram significantly increased its network in Kenya, Angola and Ethiopia. Through MoneyGram’s cash-to-card program, money transfers sent to Morocco can now easily be added to prepaid card of the company’s agent Credit du Maroc. Funds added to the card are available in any of the country’s almost 4000 automated teller machine locations that extend MoneyGram’s presence about the whole Morocco – both the rural villages and large cities.  It is notable that MoneyGram doubled the quantity of its key agents in Keniya, Ethiopia and Angola adding 200 locations, 175 locations and 100 locations respectively. Last year MoneyGram started its work in another five African countries – Algeria, Angola, Central African Republic, Gabon and Madagascar. The company considers all these countries to be among Africa’s leading receive markets and continues its steady growth through these new agent relationships, making money transfer services more accessible and convenient to money transfer customers all over the world.
