iPhone users access media more than others
The first research done on iPhone usage in the UK showed that 93% of iPhone owners in the UK accessed mobile media in January 2009, states comScore, who held the research.

The researcher company has also noted that iPhone users have been more active than smartphone or mobile phone users. Nearly 80% of iPhone users accessed news on their phones, while for smartphone and mobile phone users the amount made 48% and 20% respectively. Moreover, Alistair Hill, an analyst at comScore, highlighted that iPhone users used their e-mail more than double that of the smartphone users. And finally, iPhone users had accessed weather information more than twice as often as smartphone users, and almost six times more often than mobile users.

Hill said one of the reasons to iPhone’s success was its touch screen keyboard. It should also be noted that iPhone currently has only 2% of mobile phone users in the UK.
