Apple infuriated. Bans unauthorized iPhone application selling
Apple has announced the launch of a pre-emptive strike on stores selling unauthorized iPhone applications. The company has changed the terms and conditions of the iPhone SDK making authoring content for these sites against the rules.

The new clause that bans the distribution of content through rivals states:

Applications developed using the Apple Software may only be distributed if selected by Apple (in its sole discretion) for distribution via the App Store or for limited distribution on Registered Devices (ad hoc distribution) as contemplated in this Agreement.

Although, the new terms will not have much impact on the hard-core developers creating hacking tools, it will stop ordinary developers who will try to sell their applications in the Cydia store or similar, and reduces the value of such stores by large, as well.
