An investment portal introduced by the Bank of New York Mellon
The Bank of New York Mellon has announced it had launched a money market investment portal aimed at helping institutional investors maximize liquidity and mitigate counterparty risk.

The combined portal, managed by the Liquidity Services Group, enables institutions to access different money market funds, invest directly in individual money market securities and protect margin balances. The system is also known to be more transparent as transactions conducted through Liquidity Direct are posted in real time. Moreover, it allows straight forward processing in order to provide clients with quick access to their cash, and customized account monitoring. Some other benefits that the portal offers are multiple holdings being included in a single report, and data being archived for longer periods.

Clients from across the bank's business lines, including treasury services, asset management, issuer services and asset servicing can use the portal.

Liquidity Direct unites the institutional liquidity platforms of the Bank of New York, MoneyFunds Direct, and Mellon Financial Markets, Liquidity Management Services.
