Google’s Douglas Bowman to join Twitter
Business Week reported that the speculations about Twitter’s having hired former Google visual designer Douglas Bowman were confirmed by the company co-founder Biz Stone. Bowman is to occupy the position of Twitter’s creative director replacing Stone, who was acting as Twitter’s creative director.

Earlier in March Bowman announced that he is leaving Google on account of the company’s disputes over color and pixel issues.

“I had a recent debate over whether a border should be 3, 4 or 5 pixels wide, and was asked to prove my case,” wrote Bowman. “I can’t operate in an environment like that. I’ve grown tired of debating such minuscule design decisions. There are more exciting design problems in this world to tackle.”

Bowman is a popular designer who currently has 3,677 followers with only 93 people he follows himself.
