10 millions of Germans use PayPal as a payment option
PayPal online payment processor has announced that the number of the registered users in Germany reached 10 millions. According to the report of the company team the number of accounts in February 2007 was just 5 million. The German Team is very proud of surpassing that milestone. “With that we are clearly in the position of the market leader in Germany and on the right track to grow our business even further in Europe” said Dominik Dommick, senior director of marketing at PayPal Germany. 

The German success story began in 2004 when PayPal online payment system launched its German localized website. In the same year eBay Germany integrated PayPal as one of its payment solutions. Within three years PayPal reached 5 million accounts. Along with its popularity among customers came well known stores that decided to offer PayPal like Tommy Hilfiger and DHL (the German mail carrier). 

In general PayPal payment gateway has more than 175 million users in 190 markets.
